Less than two months now until The Spy Who Left Me will be officially on sale! I was emailing with a friend who has a book coming out on the same day. She commented that when she accepted her offer, it seemed like forever until her book would come out and now it’s almost here. I feel the same way–where does the time go?
Speaking of time, the reviews are starting to come in. The first one to arrive is from Publishers Weekly. This is the first book of mine they’ve reviewed and I’m so pleased they did!
Robinson’s raunchy third Agent Ex rom-com (after 2009’s Spy Games) takes Treflee Miller, recently dumped by her husband, to Maui’s Big Auau Sugar Plantation, where her cousin Carrie, having ditched her own fiancé a week before the wedding, is celebrating with a bridesmaids-only vacation bash. Treflee’s anger and hormones boil together at the “sexy half grin” and “totally hot” cologne of their tour guide—in a bizarre coincidence, it’s none other than her soon-to-be ex Ty, who’s a fantastic spy and a miserable husband. Treflee’s head wants to avoid him, but her heart and body crave something else, while Ty finds she’s turning his mind to mush just when he’s running convoluted operations and warding off drooling predatory bridesmaids. Punctuated with Bondworthy downhill car and bike chases and near-death surfing parties, Robinson’s clever concoction of lust and longing is a refreshing tropical cocktail.
