Here are my answers to the blog hop questions:
1) What is the working title of your next book?
Live and Let Love which releases on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2012.
2) Where did the idea come from for the book?
This is the third book in my Agent Ex series. It features a secondary character from Diamonds Are Truly Forever, secret agent and assassin Jack Pierce. I just loved Jack’s character and thought he deserved his own book.
3) What genre does your book fall under?
The spine says “romantic suspense.” It’s full of suspense, but it’s also lighthearted and humorous. I’d call it spylicious romance.
4) What actors would you choose to play the part of your characters in a movie rendition?
I have no idea, lol! I’d leave that to the professional casting directors.
5) What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book?
Some desires are to die for.
6) Will your book be self-published or represented by an agency?
Live and Let Love is published by St. Martin’s Press.
7) How long did it take you to write the first draft of the manuscript?
About 4 months.
What other books would you compare this story to within your genre?
This is really a tough question for me to answer. With my humorous tone, I’d compare my books to Stephanie Bond’s.
9) Who or what inspired you to write this book?
Another tough question. I don’t have a specific answer. It’s the third book in the series, so I suppose you could say the other books inspired this one.
10) What else about the book might pique the reader’s interest?
I love James Bond and all the big glamour of those books and movies, but I thought a small town version of a spy book would provide lots of opportunities for humor and fun. So Live and Let Love takes place in a tiny rural town.
